It's wonderful the mixtures of people were. In Ko Hawaii Pae Aina you'll find accounts of the mixing of races, I recall one with Japanese and one with a haole (I think). We accepted people and brought them in lovingly and because of this we were thought to be ignorant. On the contrary we were a very intelligent group of people and fast learners. The missionaries never really let it sink in to their brains the very things they were teaching us and that is why today you will see most of our lands and big companies owned by Castle, Cooke, Alexander, Baldwin. Greed, love of money, these I believe are not Christian traits? Speak to a Kanaka if you want to know more about true Christian traits.

I like him. It's good to know that we don't have to fight though. There's nothing to fight about. King Kamehameha III put into place a Constitution that enables Kanaka to just put their paper work in and get replaced on their land. All Kanaka own the land in Ko Hawaii Pae Aina save but a few who managed to, through their so called missionary work, acquire some land...that would be Castle & Cooke. But King Kamehameha III caught on and put paper work into place for his people that he loved dearly.
